Cookies

This policy explains how Thanet Labs Ltd (“Thanet Labs”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on www.thanetlabs.com and our trade portal at trade.thanetlabs.com.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They allow the site to work, keep it secure and remember information such as whether you are signed in. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in the same way.

2. The cookies we use

We keep cookies to a minimum. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies to track you across other websites.

  • Security cookies (strictly necessary). Our websites are protected by a web security and performance service, which sets a short-lived cookie to distinguish genuine visitors from automated traffic and to protect our forms from spam. These cookies do not identify you.
  • Trade portal cookies (strictly necessary). When you use trade.thanetlabs.com, cookies keep you signed in, remember your basket and language, and keep your session secure. The portal cannot work without them.
  • Website administration cookies (strictly necessary). These are set only for our own staff when they sign in to manage the website.
  • Preference cookies. Some cookies or local storage remember choices you make, such as closing a notice, so you do not have to make them again.

Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent under UK law because the websites cannot operate securely without them.

3. Third-party content

Our websites load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and shares your IP address so that the fonts can be delivered. Google Fonts does not set cookies.

4. Analytics and marketing

We do not currently use analytics or marketing cookies. If we introduce them, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting any cookie that is not strictly necessary.

5. Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Your browser’s help pages explain how. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of our websites from working, including signing in to the trade portal and placing orders.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the cookies we use change. The latest version will always be on this page.

7. More information

For how we use personal data, see our Privacy Policy. For questions about cookies, email info@thanetlabs.com.
